Hooshyar Khayam

Hooshyar Khayam (b.1978) is an Iranian-British musician. He has a bachelor’s degree in the traditional music of Iran, Masters and Doctorate in Composition from the United States. He is now working now on his second Doctoral degree in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Montreal, and he is a Visiting Professor at Carleton University in Ottawa. He plays the piano, writes music and songs, conducts professional and amateur orchestras, and teaches to students from the age 9 to the age 90! He teaches in Farsi, English, and French.
