Behzad Mirzayi has been a Tombak instructor at Pars Music Academy since 2006 to this day. He himself has been playing the Tombak from an early age. He began his lessons 1991 and was taught by many great instructors including Morteza Momtaz,  Daryoush Zargari, Bahman Rajabi and Pejman Hadadi. Aside from Tombak, Mirzai is also able to play the Tar and the Santour. 

Behzad has taken part in many significant and popular shows including the Commemoration of Maestro Alizadeh in 2003 and in the series of shows conducted by Alizadeh titled “Ham Avayan” which was performed in many countries around the world. He has taken the role as the percussionist in many recorded albums including “Tamashaye Abhaye Sepid”, “Lotf Tombak” and “Ta oon Goushe”. Furthermore, Mirzayi has put together and managed various workshops purposed to introduce and familiarize attendees at the university of Munich, Germany with Rhythm in Persian music and the procedure in creating a Kamancheh in 2003.
